MEET NENETTE
Hi! I'm Nenette. I'm a Polynesian dancer/instructor/choreographer, Filipina on the Canadian Prairie, gen X mom and wife, and the "Nenette" here at Ms.Nenette.
You may know me from my first online home LifeCandy, a blog of my life as a mom to my sweet little funny family that I started writing in 2007.
Today, the stories continue here at Ms.Nenette where I share my ongoing quest to fearlessly embrace this new midlife stage, rediscover myself, and still look cool and hip at the age of 50-something.
But seriously, I want to inspire you to level up with me because age is just a number, and our Glory Days are just beginning!
This is also my IMDB page, because other than a very minor gig playing a prostitute in a local short film (I am so not even kidding), I doubt I'll ever do anything famous enough to have an actual IMDB page.
So grab a cup of tea/coffee/tequila, wrap yourself up in your favourite blanket/parka/person, and relax while you dig into my online home.
I'm so happy you're here!
xo,
Nen

FAQ
I'm from the beautiful island nation of The Philippines. We moved to Canada when I was almost 4. And I still know how to speak fluent Tagalog. In fact, I learned how to read Tagalog AFTER moving here. It's all phonetics really. Like Hawaiian. What was the question again?
Did you really have a pet chicken?
Yes, as a child in the Philippines. From my grandmother. I named my chicken 'Manok'... which means chicken. Yeah, I know, I was shockingly creative as a child.
